Padi Museum at Alor Star, Kedah, Malaysia

(watch video clip after reading )

The Rice Museum (or Padi Museum) is located near Gunung Keriang. This place is known locally as Crystal Mountain because there is natural crystal excavated from the mountain. Gunung Keriang Recreation Park is located at the base of the mountain.Tourist will find alot of crystal sovvenirs for sales.

The main attraction at the Museum is all about the much talk about painting by 7 artists from North Korea. The painting are not those images framed within 4 pieces of wooden frames.

The painting is large, full walled ,3D , and very real and lively. Very impressive and unimaginable such skill is alive on Earth.

On entering the Museum walk up to the Doom using the circular staircase and view the super effect of the Painting either by walking around the Doom or just relaxed by sitting on a chair and let the rotating platform slowly take you around the circular 3D super Painting.

Just take note, do not expect a Tourist friendly environment because buses are not allow into the compound to drop off Tourist even if it rain.

Be prepared to pay 30c just to use the toilets, located outside and at the corner of the Museum compound, even though each visitor have already paid for a RM3 ticket.

If you happen to have an umbrella, be more careful, a monkey might play with it and carry up to the roof and the poor security man have to patiently appeased it to bring it down.

I was told shoes are not even allowed into the Museum during the early days but after much complained of shoes stolen and lost the management withdrew this ruling.

'What a waste, only one of four in the world and left to rot by a rotten management team', said a Tourist.

'Having this super World class 3D Art Painting here is like planting a nice bloom of flowers on a pile of cowdang', added another Tourist.

I am not sure who is right maybe you witness and experience it yourself when you next visit the Rice Museum or Padi Museum.

ON!! ON!!
